bootlegs

One of the most frequent comments we receive from our fans is that they wish they could hear us live. Well, after years of playing live together, we've accumulated quite a collection of live tapes, and now we'll begin to unleash them on you through the web.

LIVE ON JUPITER
Recorded live on February 1, 2003, at Jupiter, a restaurant and microbrewery in the heart of Berkeley, California. We first played at Jupiter one sunny afternoon in the fall of 1997, and this acoustic (i.e., mellow) outdoor evening gig from 2003 was our long-overdue return.

MISCELLANY

How Many Ways (C. Rossbach) (4.9 MB)
This recording was taken straight from the soundboard at an outdoor concert at Stanford University. In the past, this yearly event featured local San Francisco Bay Area funk bands such as Psychofunkapus and Primus. Ben Nitzan joins the group for this performance on percussion, adding extra groovicity throughout.

Beauty and the Beast (7 MB) (Wayne Shorter)
Nardis (2.8 MB) (John Coltrane)
Reincarnation of a Lovebird (5.3 MB) (Charles Mingus)
Rollerblading with the Devil (C. Rossbach) (6.1 MB)
These recordings are taken from an acoustic gig at St. Michael's Alley, one of RTF's favorite spots to play in the mid 1990s. From the 1960s through the late 1990s, St. Mike's was a premier spot to hear up-and-coming artists in the area. This recording is kind of drenched in reverb, but you like it that way sometimes. RTF is joined by percussionist Ben Nitzan for this gig.

Peaches en Regalia (2.7 MB)(Frank Zappa)
Greg joined Hot Trivet for this gig at Palo Alto's dance club, The Edge. Although this is not a Rossbach, Thomas & Fabian recording, it does include all three members, plus Ben Nitzan (percussion) and Jack Barbash (keyboards), on a song that RTF frequently played at gigs.
